Tooter and Scooter Meets Creeper

See once upon a time in a friendly place
Were two little squirrels that lived in a tree with a lot of space.

The brother the oldest whose name was Tooter he had a small sister whose name was Scooter.

They lived with their parents in the top of a tree and their neighbors at the bottom were Mr. and Mrs. Bee.

One morning they went out to play on such a sunny bright day.

Tooter took his bat and his ball and Scooter picked out her favorite doll.

Tooter would play with his friends by the lake, there was Reddy the duck, Toby the frog, and his favorite Sammy the snake.

      

Scooter would take her doll to her best friends house, She was a cute little girl named Daisy the mouse.

So they played with their friends until it was noon both remembered mother saying to be home soon.

So the two of them with a gleeful skip off they went homeward bound.

When all of a sudden the rain did fall and they also heard a terrible sound.

Both Tooter and Scooter screamed  loud  hoping a friend might be able to hear.

They saw a big bush so they went inside because of the thunder and rain outside.

After a while in the bush they got dry when all of a sudden they were up in the sky.

They had always heard of the creeper who came into their wood they wished they were home if only they could.

They had closed their eyes so they could not see what in the world the creeper could be.

They heard a soft voice say look at my face and to their amazement was a smile with such grace.

Do not be afraid for I am not mean but by not many others I can not be seen.

I know that I am called the horrible creeper but what I am is the animals keeper

The rain on your face that you sometimes feel and the loud horrible sound.
Is me all sad because before long all my animals will not be around
When they warm sun is gone and out comes the snow all of my animals inside they will go.
See all of the raindrops are just a tear for I will not see you until the next year.

So she asked them both to fear her no more as she gently put them down at their door.

So they ran inside to tell their mom and dad just what a wonderful day they had.
When the sounds and rain came we were in fear then then all of a sudden a princess did appear.

She told us most animals called her the creeper but what her job was is the animal keeper.

So never again were the two afraid of the rain and the sound because they knew the princess was just wondering around.
