Best Friends can be different

Once upon a time in the land of heat

Is how the Giraffe and Elephant did meet
They were young and could not wonder very far from home
The tree's is where the Giraffe played and the water's where Elephant did roam
They knew their colors were not the same
 And the homes were different from where they came
But everyday as they played for a while
They would give each other a great big smile
They wished so much they could be friends with each other
But both of them did not ask their father or mother
So everyday as they watched each other play
They wanted to be best friends some day
One day Giraffe came to eat from a tree
And the little Elephant he did not see.
So he waited all day for the Elephant to come out
When all of a sudden he heard a horrible shout
It had come from the pond where Elephant would be
The Giraffe went to look to find what he could see
He just wanted to know the Elephant was alright
But when he got there he saw a terrible sight
The Elephant's body was very stuck
 In some deep brown muddy gunk
The Elephant saw Giraffe and let out a very shout
Giraffe started thinking how could him get out
When he picked up a branch and told Elephant to take
When all of a sudden it surely did break
Giraffe thought real hard to figure and see
How in the world the Elephant he could free
Them he remembered he did not need a branch or limb
He had something better than the both of them
The Elephant put his trunk around his neck very tight
 And the Giraffe pulled and pulled with all his might
Out of the mud the Elephant came out
and let out a very happy shout
He told the Giraffe my friend you are the best
I have always liked you more than the rest
So off  to ask their parents that day
If now with each other they could play
Both parents said best friends they could be
Who cared if they looked different they both were free
So remember it does not matter how different you look
Take a lesson to see what this friendship took
They overcame they were not the same
 But still best friends they became
