The Forgotten Story Of Christmas

A mother and father were hearing their children talk at their door About Santa and what new toys they would get once more
The parents said to each other we think forgotten have they
Why it is we celebrate this Special Christmas day

So they decided after supper they would all sit around the tree that was so bright
And tell the children again they were not celebrating Christmas just right
So after supper around the tree they sat around
And they were going to tell them how the true Christmas was found
So again they told them the real Christmas story
And Santa and toys were not the true glory
Of how it came for us to share this wonderful day

This happened a long time ago and so far away
The parents told them the story that was very true
And glad that their children remembered and knew
Then the children had questions of how it began
And mother and father did the best to explain

Why did God send Jesus? Asked Sarah
The parents answered:
Because the world was lost and doomed to sin so he sent Jesus to save the world so that all who followed him could find their way to God.
It was a time of spiritual corruption where the people did not know the truth any longer. Because of this they were brought under the leadership of those who claimed to know the truth but actually led them away from it
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep

Why did God send him as a baby? Asked little Johnny
The Parents answered this:
God sent our Savior as a baby because he wanted to show us that God is our Mighty God and that even a baby could lead us to the right path," .
Apostle Paul's summary of Jesus' incarnation: "Christ himself was like God in everything. He was equal with God. But he did not think that being equal with God was something to be held on to. He gave up his place with God and made himself nothing. He was born to be a man and became like a servant.
"And when he was living as a man, he humbled himself and was fully obedient to God. He obeyed even when that caused his death -- death on a cross

Why did Jesus Die on the cross? Asked sister Mary
The Parents answered this:
It's also important to understand that Jesus clearly understood his mission on earth involved laying down his life as a sacrifice. In other words, Jesus knew it was His Father's will for him to die,he left the earth to go and prepare a place for those who would eventually follow Him to heaven the Lord Jesus was taken up into Heaven and took His seat at God's right hand.
What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?" Asked the oldest Tom
The parents answered this:
Jesus answered, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." Believing in Jesus is the one thing that each of us must do to become right with God. Believing in Him is more than believing about Him. You believe about Him with your mind. Believing in Him is different ... it is an active response from the heart.
God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten son to die for our sins. The sins of everyone that will accept Jesus for who he is. Now who is this man Jesus? He is God's only begotten son.

Where did Jesus go? Asked Sallie Mae
The Parents answered this:
Then Jesus began to tell them that he, the Son of Man, would suffer many terrible things and be rejected by the leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, and three days later he would rise again.
Jesus was brought back to life in the very same body He was sacrificed for our sins and went to heaven to sit down at the right hand of God and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places"This is why there is no one greater than Jesus, who is the savior of all mankind..He left the earth to go and prepare a place for those who would eventually follow Him to heaven the Lord Jesus was taken up into Heaven and took His seat at God's right hand.

Now after their lesson about the true Christmas day
The children asked their parents if they could pray
They thanked baby Jesus and to God they did say
Thanks for sending us Jesus so in Heaven we can go someday they kissed their parents and off to bed they did go
Now the parents were happy about Christmas the children truly did know

The lonely Little Princess

Long ago on the top of a mountain that was above the town
In a mansion is where a princess lived who had a crown

Her parents the Queen and King over the town they ruled over it
They kept the people happy with many of things but mostly food so they would be fit

Now the princess was six and had never left the mountain at any time at all
She played with the cook and maids her parents were often gone to some fancy Ball

Many times she would sneak to the edge of the mountain just to look down
At all the House's but mostly she watched the kids play in the small town
Always hoping when she got older that maybe some day
That her parents would let her go to town so with the kids she could play

She had everything that money could buy
But her parents were gone so much it made her cry
She had lots of animals all around but her favorite was her little pony
Some days she rode far from home but still the little girl felt so lonely
One sunny morning she got on her pony and down the hill they did ride
This day she was brave she went through the gates and went outside

She was having so much fun she did not see a very big stone
Her pony tripped and all of a sudden she was thrown to the ground
The pony ran back up the hill she could not move her leg it hurt so bad
She was crying and wishing now that opening the gate she never had
In the distance all she could hear were the sounds of many a sheep
After awhile from the pain and crying she soon fell fast asleep

When she awoke she was not in the bed where she was always sleeping
She was afraid until she saw the children in the door as they were peeking
Seeing the children made her not afraid her leg hurt no more someone had wrapped it up
They children ran in asking so many questions when up on the bed jumped a little pup

Very quite she was to them because with kids she had never got to play
She now must think of something to say

A thought came to say she could not remember anything so with this family she could stay for a while
She had been lonely for such a long time just listening to the kids gave  her face a  big smile
The parents ask her from where she came and if she felt better she nodded and said yes
She also thanked them for helping them get out of her horrible mess
Then a dreaded question the parents asked could she remember her last name
To lie she knew was wrong but she wanted to stay she said she did not know from where she had came
Her parents had told her they would be gone longer this time the friends they were visiting lived far away
So they would not miss her and the truth she would tell soon all she wanted was with the children to play
She really loved this family and the kids so she decided to stay a very long time

The children to her to school and she learned new games and even a new nursery rhyme
The time flew by fast she was having such fun now summer was almost over somehow
She had started to miss her very own home she must tell the truth to them now
They all ate together at a large table in a tiny little room
She told them the truth and ask them to please take her home soon

The got up early the next day and got in the wagon and off they did go
Father drove fast because it was so cold and he was afraid that it may snow.
He knew they could not stop or could not be late
Because when it was dark the the guards would lock up the gate

Now that the parents knew she belonged to the King and the Queen
They were hoping to themselves that to their family they would not be mean
The parents would tell them in the woods father did find her and would explain
The little Princess had told them she knew not where her home was or could not remember her name
Father drove so very fast to the top of the mountain they made it they were not to late
They were amazed as they were passing through at how huge was this golden gate

At the beautiful mansion they stopped and got out
Little princess's parents saw her they let out a shout
We have looked in the town and all around
But know one knew you and to us you were not found
We thought that we had lost our princess forever
And we promise to leave you alone no not never
The King thanked the family for keeping her safe
You could see they were happy by the smiles on their face
The Father said thanks but its getting late and we must go
But as they walked outside to their surprise it had began to snow

The Queen said with us all of you will surely stay
Until this awful snow does go away
In the mansion the family stayed for a week by then there was no more snow
The little Princess started to cry and ask her parents if they had to go
The King and the Queen told the father they never had to go away
Because down the path a cottage they could have and forever could stay

The king told the father on this farm I have jobs you can do
And never will your family have hard times to go through
So in the end it all worked out and the family did stay
And never was the Princess lonely not one single day.

THE FUN SNOWY DAY

One morning a child looked out the door because to school they had to go
But to their surprise they all looked outside all they saw was snow snow snow
They jumped with joy and closed the door but the children were not going back to bed
They bundled themselves up in their warmest clothes and then they took each one their very own sled

When they stepped outside they saw all their friends at the very top of the biggest hill
At the top of the hill on the sleds they went down oh this was such a wonderful thrill

They played outside with their friends most of the day
Now it was late so they had left for their home to make their way

The children were so tired all they did was eat and off they went to bed

They got out of bed the very next day looked out the window to see some more
Of the snow they had played in the day before
When they looked out the window all they could see
Was the snow had melted so today school it would be

But they were not sad because they did know
It was still winter and on some other day their would be more snow

Bo and Nate go Fishing

One day Bo was with his Pa at the lake
When he found an old boat someone did make
It was out in the woods all by itself and alone
Surely to no one this boat did belong

Finding the boat to Pa not a word did he say
He knew him and Nate would come here someday
So one sunny morning before his family was awake
The two little boys took off to the lake
They put the boat in like Pa many times they had seen
Then the boat started turning and acting so mean

When all of a sudden in the water Nate did fall in
He was glad his floaties he had on because he could not swim

Bo jumped into the water to rescue Nate
They were both cold and started to shake
Meanwhile their family was awake and looking around
Just wondering where the boys could be found

Bo and Nate out of  the water they got and in the boat their fishing poles they had forgot

But they were safe from their horrible fear
And left the poles in the boat and did not care

So off they walked down the road alone
When finally they saw their pretty home

Their parents they told what they did at the lake
The two boys got told punishmant you will take
Bo had to mow the yard for a week everyday
And for Nate with his toys he could not play
