A simple weed can grow a pretty flower

Once upon a time a simple weed stood in a garden with flower's so many
She was so shy and plain she never talked to any
Always wanting to be pretty just like the rest
Especially if she could be like the rose she was the prettiest

One sunny day a seed fell off her and to the ground
To her amazement she had her own seed to keep around
She protected her seedling through storms and on hot days
Her seedling was growing taller and had more limbs than the weed
But she did not care she was just waiting for the awakening of her seed
One bright sunny morning she looked over and her seed was awake
Even though she did not look or act like her she was so happy to see what she could make
Her seed was a tall pretty red rose who just talked and played and now all the flowers she knew
The weed was so proud and loved her rose and in return the rose gave the weed so much love too

     Another sunny day a seed fell from her to the left and in the ground
Now her and the rose were going to have another flower around
When the time came and he finally opened up
She was shocked to see a big strong yellow buttercup
The buttercup was not talkative like her rose he was quiet and loved the colors of everything
And he said he loved all the wonderful sounds in the world and always loved to sing

     To every one's amazement one day the weed had turned into a purple flower
After all this time she had not been a weed at all she now knew what gave her this power
Because of all the love her flowers had given to her and the love for her two little seeds
She had finally realized she was pretty and was not lonely like many many weeds

Friends to the End

Chapter 1

Josey and Amy had been best friends since Kindergarten. They did everything together, sports.cheerleader and every other weekend they would spend they night at one of their homes. Each year up to the 5th grade some how they always had the same teachers,they suspected their mothers had this done for them. Oh what best friends they were and they had one more thing in common they were both an only child. But they were very opposite in looks Josey was taller and darker in color while Amy had red hair and was short and had very fair skin.

   Now they were finished with the 5th grade this meant the next year they would be in a new school and also Junior High,this meant to them they were no longer little girls, they were growing into mature young ladies. They were so excited about this new change.

They spent all summer at the pool hanging out and talking about it and as always sharing their secrets with each other, for example Josey had a big crush on a boy named Chase who never even noticed her. They bought new clothes together and new shoes, the new School day was approaching so fast its as if they never had a summer at all.

   So the day was here their first day at the new school they helped each other pick out just the right outfits and off to school they went. When they got there they both were so scared they had never been to such a big school before but they held each others hand and walked into their new future together.

 It did not turn out the way they had hoped in JR High you change classes and have different teachers and different people in each class. The only class they had together was a class called Study Hall and in this class it was in the library and you were not aloud to talk and had assigned seats so all they could do was smile at each other across the room.

Chapter 2

    They seemed to adjust to this new journey in life they still hung out on weekends and talked every night until after Thanksgiving Josey started to notice a change in Amy.

She was now always with a girl named Maria who was a very rich girl or so Josey had heard. Amy kept coming up with excuses as to why she could not spend the night and would only talk to her now for just a minute on the phone or sometimes would not answer or return her calls. Josey now was feeling so alone she moped around school and at home not knowing what to do or say,she had never experienced this kind of sad feeling before. Good news was they all made the Cheerleading team Josey thought this might bring her and Amy back together again. She felt some happiness at this.

Chapter 3

  Things still did not seem to change even though now they were all three on the same Cheerleading team. Amy and Maria seemed closer and were constantly whispering in each others ear they same way Josey and Amy used to do.

  Then it happened all these feelings came to an eruption one night at a Basketball game.

While they were cheering Maria on purpose tripped Josey and she fell in front of everyone. Josey got up and told Maria I know you did that on purpose and them Maria started blurting out about how she knew that Josey had a crush on Chase and that he would never look at such an ugly girl like her. This all happened in front of the whole gym. Josey looked at Amy and said how could you, she did see sadness in her eyes and Amy was saying something she did not hear as Josey ran out of the gym crying.

Chapter 4

   Now the 6th grade was over and over all these months Amy and Josey never spoke oh yes Amy kept trying to call Josey but she was too hurt and would hang up her phone. She did notice Maria and Amy had stopped hanging out together and Amy was also alone at school but at this point Josey was to hurt to care.

So here came the summer days again at the pool this year however was a little awkward because they did not sit or swim or even talk anymore at the pool. But one day something funny happened that only was a secret between them two and they both laughed but then noticed this and Josey stopped immediately.

Amy came over to Josey and apologized and was crying and said she never knew Maria would ever be so mean to her. She said she never told Maria that you just hurt my best friend and I never want to have anything to do with you. They both hugged and cryed and laughed it felt all good and right for Josey again. They made a promise to never let anyone come between their friendship again.

Chapter 5

 Josey and Amy grew up and went to same college and both married and are still best friends and never let anyone come between them ever again. They also had two little girls whom they named the little girls middle name after each other. And in the end Josey did get Chase as her husband.

My Daddy Sent Me An Angel

This Story is dedicated to the family of Kim Harris from Shelbyville,Tn.
 

Once upon a time a little girl was sitting on a swing at school crying all alone
Then a teacher sat on the swing next to her, a teacher she had never seen or known
She said her name was Ms Hartley and she had just found out what happened to her dad

The teacher told her it was really okay for her to cry so much now and to feel so very sad


 If you want your heart to get feeling better you really need to cry so many many tears
Crying and anger will help your heart get better because you had your daddy for so many years

You need to talk about it and ask questions of why to your Mother a friend or even your Preacher
And if you feel like crying or talking to someone at school all you need to do is go talk to your teacher
Your friends at school do not mean to make you feel sad they are just worried about you
Just remember they are young also and do not know what to say or what to do

                                      


We are all sent from heaven way up beyond the stars in the sky up above
We have the same Big Father who's name is God and all his children he does love
He sends us to do a job for him on earth that only he will know what it is we should do
And after we have done a good job for him that's when he takes us back to heaven where daddy is waiting on you
See because your daddy had finished the job God had given to only him alone
It was now time to go back to Heaven where we all belong
For all we know God sent him to this world to teach you to always be very good
I have heard how nice you are to everyone so I think your Daddy did the best job he could

 

In heaven there are special people who gets an award for doing the best job than most everyone here
They are called Angels and come back to earth and help someone who's heart is sad and and take away their fear
Just imagine if your daddy got chosen to be and Angel with very pretty wings of his very own
He can now come and help someone on earth who is feeling sad and all alone

God gives us a guardian angel to stay beside us everyday to take care of us all
Even if you can not see them they are beside you just give out a call
Because of your Angel you can still talk to daddy whenever you want to
Your Guardian Angel will hear what you say and send the message to your daddy in heaven for you

Now before I leave I will tell you something that is very okay
Even if you miss your daddy and are sad sometimes you can still smile and laugh and with friends still play
To feel sad and cry and angry inside will help you soon get better in your heart
But you still must be strong and help with your mommy and do your part

So the girl felt better inside her heart and the teacher smiled and walked away
The next morning she felt good and told her teacher about the Ms Hartley that day

As her teacher listened she had a strange look upon her face 

At the end of her story she said there is no teacher named Ms Hartley at this place.

 

Then the little girl felt happier and understood that her daddy sent an Angel to put back the smile on her face

So from that day on she knew if she cried or even felt mad

This is what you do when you miss your dad

Why Do you Bully?

Why are you a bully what made you like this?

Did someone you loved make fun of you or hit you with their fist?
What has made you so cruel to want to hurt another child?

Was it someone you loved who made your rage so wild?

Can you think back to the day when you did become such a bully?

Why now by hurting others makes you feel good inside truly?

Did you know when you punch another hard in the face?

That it hurts physical but gives them so much disgrace.

Does inside of you feel good about hurting someone?

If so a normal child you are not, you are different from everyone.

Being a bully means there is something very wrong with you.

You need to seek out help from a Teacher or Counselor or a Parent.

     

                                    

It is not a normal thing to make fun and hurt many other.

Especially if its your family a sister or brother.

So if you get joy by hurting and bullying so many a child.

There is something terribly wrong to have this rage that is so wild.

If you seek help now your future will be good.

And when you grow up you will be a successful adult just like you should.

If you continue this path of bullying people by the time you become an adult in prison you will be.

So take the time and remember the pain that did make you like this.

And change your ways now, so you can have whatever future you wish.

Aim High For Your Goals

Tommy was now finished with the fifth grade in school and it now time for his summer play
He ran home so fast that afternoon and threw his backpack on his bed and put all his school things away
There would only be one game and toy he would play during these days at all

His favorite game of basketball and his favorite toy would be his ball
Next year he would be old enough he had to brave and practice just to try out

 He was so small and also wore glasses this it gave him so much doubt
Basketball he played at home and with his friends all the time as a crew
But bigger kids would laugh at his size and be so unkind to him too

In his home he had only one parent and it was his wonderful mother
 His dad left when he was a baby and he did not have a sister or brother
He had heard people say that you can not miss what you never had
So to have only his Mother never made him in any way sad
She was his best friend in all this world and then beyond
He knew they would always share a very special strong bond

He knew to play basketball you had to be good and have speed
Even all the bigger and taller kids this they still did need
He practiced and practiced even harder this summer long
Then asked his mom if him trying out would be wrong
She told him that the greatest revenge is to accomplish what others say you can not do
We will do this together and be very brave just me and you

So the day was here it was now basketball season
When he got to the gym he turned to leave but mother reminded him his love of the game will be his reason

So out in the Gym he played the very best that he could

If he made the team or not the next day is when  knowing if he would
That night he could not sleep for hoping so bad
His one special dream of playing ball was all he had





So the next morning off to school him and his mom did go
To see if his name on the list it would show
To his amazement Tommy's name was on the list
He had made the team and in his eyes came a little mist
In front of everyone he did not care who saw him run to his mother
And thanked her for believing in him more than any other

Always One Family

                                                 

Once upon a time a man and a woman became husband and wife

This means they should stay together for the rest of their life

Then something special happened in the month of May
Two little babies were born to them on the very same day
When two babies are born to a mother at the same time
They are called twins and sometimes the names will rhyme
These two babies were not alike one was a girl the other was a boy

They gave the boy the name of Jonah the little girl they named her Joy

The family lived happy for a long time in a big house that was their home

Then they noticed when their parents talked to each other it was in a loud tone
They overheard their parents say we always fight we do not need to be together anymore
By this time the twins had just had a birthday they had now turned nine
When the world as they had always known now was not so very fine

The parents overheard the children talking in their rooms on a rainy day
Maybe we are doing something mean for them to be fighting in this bad way

So the parents decided it was time to let the kids know they were getting a divorce
That a change in their life will happen soon but one family they would still be of course
Your father and I we fuss so much that we do not want to live in the same house together
Its nothing you two have said or done and we both will be in your lives forever and ever
Because you will now live in two different homes we both will still be caring for you in every way
Which ever parent has you own their week will still fix your breakfast and help with homework everyday

Just think of how exciting it will be for you two to go to a new house every other week
And have separate toys and clothes at each home you can get to keep

With the divorce the children felt better because their parents had promised thing will be okay
And they could see each parent on any day

So in two different homes the children grew up without any problems at all



Now came the time the twins were grown and it was time for college in the fall
But this time the two of them when the left home they were not afraid because over the years the one thing they did learn
